The collector car community rallied for Barrett-Jackson’s return to live events during the final day of the special 2020 Fall Auction at WestWorld of Scottsdale. Bidders, consignors and invited guests thoroughly enjoyed the event, where safety was at the forefront so they could comfortably have a great experience at The World’s Greatest Collector Car Auctions.

Representatives of the HeartStrings Foundation couldn’t contain their excitement when a 2020 Chevrolet Corvette sold for $370,000 to benefit the organization.

Some incredible vehicles crossed the auction block on Super Saturday, but one in particular came with a very special purpose. A generous Barrett-Jackson customer donated a beautiful 2020 Chevrolet Corvette to be sold to benefit the HeartStrings Foundation, whose mission is to provide guitars to veterans and actively serving military members and their families so they may integrate music into their recovery. HeartStrings also donates guitars to music therapy programs, children’s hospitals, first responders, transitional housing for battered women, drug cessation programs and other non-profit organizations throughout the country. The gavel came down on a winning bid of $370,000, all of which will go to the worthy cause – and the the winning bidder also went home with a two-day course at Spring Mountain Motor Resort, a guitar signed by a number of notable country music artists – and 50 guitars will be sent to the charity of their choice.

For the third straight day, more record sales were seen on the Barrett-Jackson auction block, including a 2016 Mercedes-Benz AMG GT S ($123,200), a 1967 Ford Mustang Eleanor Tribute Edition ($181,500) and a 2019 Lincoln Continental 80th Anniversary Coach-Door Edition ($137,500). The top sellers of the day (and of the entire auction) were an incredible 2018 Ford GT (the top sale of the auction at $1.21 million), along with a stunning 2012 Lexus LFA for $440,000 – both setting new auction records – as well as a 2005 Ford GT that sold for $302,500 and a custom 1963 Chevrolet Corvette that brought in $286,000

More than 100 exquisite pieces of automotive memorabilia started the day off during the Automobilia Auction, with the winner of the day – and the entire event – being a striking Mobiloil Pegasus animated neon sign from the 1950s, which sold for $40,250. Also catching the eye of one lucky bidder today was an impressive 1955 Texaco Oil Fuel Island featuring two gas pumps, which brought in $17,250. Several other neon signs and gas pumps captured a place the Top 10 list in automobilia today, along with a fantastic Coca-Cola “School Zone” policeman tin sign from the 1950s, which went to its new home for $11,500.
